Patient Bill of Rights:
The Patient Bill of Rights has been developed with the expectation that observance of theses rights will contribute to more effective patient care and greater satisfaction for the patient and his or her healthcare provider.  Further, these rights are presented in the expectation that they will be supported by the healthcare provider on behalf of his or her patients, as an integral part of the healing process.  It is recognized that a personal relationship between the healthcare provider and the patient is essential for the provision of proper medical care.  The traditional healthcare provider-patient relationship takes on a new dimension when care is rendered within an organizational structure.   Legal precedent has established that the institution itself also has a responsibility to the patient It is in recognition of these factors that these rights are affirmed by the McCance Medical Clinic  Michigan Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
